What does the Argentiere ski resort have to offer?
Argentiere - The Skiing: MONT BLANC Classified as a world heritage site, this historic alpine capital of France, surrounded by spectacular scenery at the foot of Mont Blanc on the Italian border, offers one of the most challenging ski areas in the world. The spectacular Vallee Blanche ski run with a descent of 2800m requires a guide but is a must for any keen skier. The full Mont Blanc pass covers 14 resorts, including Chamonix, Les Houches and Argentiere, and in a week, a competent skier need never ski the same run twice. The Resorts: Beginners * Intermediates ** Advanced *** Snowboarders *** Argentiere 1250m: A pretty village resort with good restaurants and bars, Argentiere is a magnet for advanced skiers and snowboarders. The ski area of Les Grand Montets offers some of the most challenging off-piste and black pistes in the Mont Blanc area. 2 fast lifts take skiers quickly to high altitude. There is off-piste galore for the more intrepid skiers, and whilst the pisted runs around the resort are somewhat limited, nearby Le Tour serves intermediates and beginners.
